How it works

The Canadian Ecosystem Gathering is designed to serve the reality and the needs of ecosystem leaders.

The Community ensures consistency in gathering points (physical & digital) while sustaining human relationships. It will contribute to highlight common issues, develop best practices and enlightening exchanges.

The Thematic provides workspaces around common priorities for ecosystem leaders to take collaborative action upon. Reducing the distance and strengthening the connections between Canadian leaders.

The

Foundation

2017 -2019, it all started when Mangrove was mandated to support the Government of Canada in the animation of the Unified Canada House during the SXSW trade show in Austin, Texas.

Thanks to this initiative, Canada’s creative industry, (including technology, cinema and music) suddenly rallied from coast to coast under one common roof. We succeeded in breaking barriers between different disciplines and bringing people together to showcase all of the forms of creativity Canada has to offer.

Observations:  Canadian ecosystem leaders are highly interested to expand their network between provinces. Moreover, they value shared experience and expertise between pairs.

This is how, in collaboration with Startupfest, Startup Canada, and the Secrétariat des relations Canadiennes du Québec, we brought together 34 leaders from 13 cities across 6 provinces throughout Canada to participate in the first Canadian Ecosystem Gathering.
